  • The X-PRIZE Foundation - The $10 million Ansari X-PRIZE was awarded to Burt Rutan and his team at Scaled Composites for successfully completing the first private space flights aboard SpaceShipOne in September and October 2004.  Several teams, including Scaled Composites, are continuing their development of privately-funded space vehicles.  To promote this innovation, the X-PRIZE Foundation is currently developing the X-PRIZE CUP, a series of rocket ship races to be held in New Mexico.  In addition, the X-PRIZE Foundation is developing a new set of prizes to encourage the private development of vehicles for point to point and orbital space flight. 
  • James Cameron’s Earthship Productions, Inc. - Expeditions to the R.M.S. Titanic in 2001 and Bismarck in 2002 to film each wreck for the IMAX feature Ghosts of the Abyss and the Discovery Channel special James Cameron's Expedition Bismarck.
  • Deep Ocean Expeditions, Ltd. - The R.M.S. Titanic 2003 Scientific and Photographic Expedition and the Atlantic Sands 2001 Expedition.  The Atlantic Sands expedition discovered the world’s deepest wooden shipwreck, a merchant vessel, possibly a slave ship, which sank to a depth of 16,000 feet in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle in 1810. The expedition explored the wreck and filmed it in digital HDTV format.

  • Odyssey Marine Exploration, Inc. - Ongoing research, exploration and recovery of the S.S. Republic, the gold laden paddle-wheel steamer that sank in a hurricane in 1865 while en route from New York to New Orleans, and the H.M.S. Sussex, the 80 gun flagship of Admiral Sir Francis Wheeler that sank off the coast of Gibralter on February 19, 1694.
